Job Description

Tenable is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to provide decision science expertise, inform decision-making through quantitative analysis, and build operational workflows to prioritize research on impactful threats and vulnerabilities. This role focuses on enhancing contextual intelligence and exposure management support for research teams and the Tenable platform.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute data-driven processes for development prioritization
• Develop strategy for delivering contextual intelligence for vulnerabilities
• Develop strategy for in-product measurement of research contributions
• Synthesize and communicate insights on threats and vulnerabilities
• Provide analytical support to internal stakeholders
• Experiment with new technologies to gather insights
• Improve customer in-product experience based on metrics

Requirements

• BS with 5+ years of experience or Masters degree with equivalent experience in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau)
• Experience with Python/iPython/Jupyter Notebooks
• Ability to gather business insights from data
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Ability to work on multiple efforts simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
