Job Description

Black Duck Software is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to maintain the health, performance, and reliability of their server and network infrastructure in a Boston-based data center. The role involves data center operations, hardware lifecycle management, network cabling, licensing, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain server and network equipment
• Respond to alerts to ensure system uptime
• Perform patch management and scheduled maintenance
• Track and manage equipment lifecycle
• Install, replace, and decommission hardware
• Assist with network cabling tasks
• Provide remote hands support
• Support license maintenance and renewal
• Coordinate with vendors
• Collaborate with IT and Engineering teams

Requirements

• 2+ years of data center experience
• Basic understanding of networking concepts
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and asset tracking systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
