Job Description

The Black Duck Americas' Sales Engineering Manager provides technical expertise and support for the commercial team, focusing on application security solutions (SCA, SAST, IAST, and DAST). This role involves managing a team of Sales Engineers, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and driving business growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive a team of Sales Engineers
• Drive excellence within the commercial SE team
• Educate the sales team on application security and AI
• Provide feedback to Product Management
• Create software demonstrations
• Conduct technical briefings
• Provide technical expertise to the commercial sales team
• Manage proofs of concepts
• Work with R&D and Product Management

Requirements

• 2+ years of management experience in high-tech software sales
• BS CS, MIS or equivalent experience
• 4+ years’ experience in a high-tech software company, preferably in sales engineering
• Working knowledge of software development, SBOM, functional safety, and application security
• Ability to communicate value proposition
• Effective time management and multitasking skills
• Open-mindedness and willingness to learn
• Experience with SDLC and CI/CD Tooling
• Experience with development languages (Java, C/C++, JavaScript, Ruby, Python)
