Job Description

Black Duck Software is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their Enterprise Sales team. The role involves bridging the technical and commercial aspects of their application security solutions, working with customers and the sales team to demonstrate value and improve security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with account teams to develop technical sales strategies
  • Lead technical discovery sessions, demonstrations, and proof of concept implementations
  • Provide technical consultation on SAST, SCA, and DAST solutions
  • Analyze customer environments and propose security solutions
  • Create and deliver technical presentations and documentation
  • Support security architecture discussions and integrate with DevSecOps workflows
  • Provide competitive technical differentiation
  • Participate in industry events and stay current with emerging technologies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in application security sales engineering or related role
  • Understanding of application security concepts and testing methodologies
  • Experience in SAST, SCA, or DAST technologies
  • Technical skill-set in software development or security engineering
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
