Job Description

SmithRx is seeking a Lead, Benefits Testing to manage, coach, and develop a team of benefits testing specialists. This role ensures the quality and accuracy of benefit operations through audits, testing, and documentation, while also supporting the Plan Operations team with quality assurance functions and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team delivery of benefit operations quality assurance
  • Manage employee performance through scorecards and metrics
  • Provide feedback and coaching to team members
  • Develop and deploy daily audits
  • Analyze audit results and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans
  • Provide leadership support for escalations
  • Communicate project status to leadership
  • Participate in process and workflow improvements
  • Collaborate with engineers on system enhancements
  • Participate in development of quality assurance policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years in a leadership role with direct reports
  • 5+ years of experience in claims processing, medical billing, healthcare benefits, or pharmacy benefits
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
  • Self-starter mentality
