Job Description

SmithRx is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to the development of their next-generation pharmacy benefits management platform. The engineer will be involved in the entire engineering lifecycle, from design and build to maintenance, and will work with a variety of technologies to deliver high-quality, scalable software and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SmithRx product features
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements
• Provide scope and risk estimates
• Apply software development best practices
• Leverage AWS technologies
• Ensure code is fully tested and documented
• Troubleshoot production issues
• Contribute to a collaborative learning culture
• Explore and share new AI tools

Requirements

• BS or advanced degree in computer science or applicable experience
• 3-5 years of software development experience
• Solid experience with Go, Java, C, or C++
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience designing and implementing scalable solutions
• Disciplined approach to software design and development
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• Working knowledge of GraphQL, open source APIs, CI/CD, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus
• Experience using GenAI tools is a plus
