Quizlet is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to shape the future of AI-powered learning tools. The role involves building and deploying AI systems for personalization, ranking, generative AI, and LLM-powered tutoring, contributing to the technical roadmap, and ensuring robust evaluation and responsible deployment of models at scale.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical roadmap for applied AI
• Build components of end-to-end ML systems
• Implement LLM-based features
• Develop Learner 360 representations
• Support evaluation infrastructure
• Ship reliable systems at scale
• Collaborate with and learn from senior teammates
• Work closely with Product, Design, Legal, and Data Science
• Stay current with ML research

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of industry experience in applied ML/AI or ML-heavy software engineering
• BS/MS in CS, ML, or related quantitative field
• Experience building ranking/personalization or search systems
• Hands-on experience with LLM/GenAI systems
• Strong skills in Python/PyTorch
• Solid experiment design and metrics literacy
• Strong collaboration skills
