Job Description

Lantern is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to serve as a central point of contact for their provider network, responsible for accurate payment processing, communication, and data integrity. The role involves payment disbursement, claim research, dispute resolution, and collaboration with internal departments to ensure smooth provider interactions and accurate billing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process provider payments
• Serve as primary contact for payment inquiries
• Assist in claim disposition and payment determination
• Liaise with internal departments
• Process adjustments and disputes
• Respond to provider system inquiries
• Communicate outstanding claims issues
• Work with provider contracting staff
• Perform pre-adjudication claims reviews
• Initiate actions regarding pending claims
• Follow up on open items
• Provide feedback to management
• Assist in training new specialists
• Initiate system change requests
• Analyze daily activity reports
• Develop claims resolutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma with 4 years’ experience
• 2+ years of experience in claims, health insurance, or healthcare
• Knowledge of medical coding systems preferred
• Knowledge of payor contracts
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and database software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
