Job Description

Lantern is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to drive the evolution of their Azure-based infrastructure, focusing on scalability, automation, and regulatory compliance. This role involves architecting, implementing, and operating a secure, resilient, multi-region cloud platform to support their mission of accessible healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure Azure cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with teams to deliver enterprise-grade cloud platforms
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
• Ensure monitoring, observability, and alerting for production systems
• Contribute to cost optimization efforts
• Participate in disaster recovery planning
• Maintain documentation
• Participate in cross-functional meetings
• Mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or DevOps
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure at scale
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
• Experience in a regulated environment (HIPAA, SOC 2)
• Exposure to security best practices for cloud environments
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
