Job Description

Lantern is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Architecture) to drive architectural consistency, elevate technical standards, and scale their cloud-native healthcare platform. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable systems, providing technical leadership, and mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior architecture contributor and technical leader
• Lead modularization and platform decoupling
• Drive system design and architecture for secure services
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and compliance partners
• Guide and mentor engineers
• Champion code quality and design standards
• Evaluate frameworks and tools
• Contribute to internal architecture guidelines
• Lead technical discovery and prototyping
• Influence technical direction of multi-team projects

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, 3+ years in a senior/staff role
• Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native services (.NET Core, React/Angular)
• Strong experience in domain-driven design (DDD), microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS
• Solid experience with CRM integration design (Salesforce)
• Demonstrated ability to lead architectural initiatives
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, DevSecOps
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
