Job Description

Zynga is seeking a strategic Principal Economy Designer to oversee and optimize the in-game economy for their social slots game, Hit It Rich! The role involves designing, implementing, and tuning economic systems to drive player engagement, retention, and monetization through data-informed design and experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the in-game economy and collaborate with product managers and analysts
• Design and implement features to improve player experience and key metrics
• Model, simulate, and tune complex economy systems
• Use A/B testing to validate hypotheses and optimize performance
• Identify and improve underperforming systems
• Develop predictive models and simulations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, live ops, and monetization teams
• Communicate economic insights to stakeholders
• Stay up to date with market trends

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in digital games, 2+ years in economy design
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
• Skilled at modeling and simulating changes
• Analytical and detail-oriented
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL
• Passion for mobile and/or casino games
