Bungie is seeking a Data Reliability Engineer to own the architecture, scalability, observability, and resilience of databases and data processing platforms used throughout the Bungie ecosystem. The role involves designing, operating, and maintaining a data tier that meets the demands of millions of users, providing expertise on Microsoft SQL, and collaborating with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and maintain a data tier
• Work with latest database technologies
• Provide Microsoft SQL expertise
• Maintain systems across various scales
• Participate in on-call rotation and systems maintenance

Requirements

• Extensive experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (SQL 2016+)
• Knowledge of SQL internals, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting SQL performance at large scale
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
