Job Description

The Pure Storage Consulting Partner Technical Manager (PTM) position supports national partners and is a senior role responsible for shaping the growth of Pure’s Partners. The PTM leads and enables Channel Partners and the Pure Channel with market leadership, culture, products, and solutions through interaction with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Regular interaction with partner principals, executives, and sales teams
  • Align Pure’s go-to-market strategy with partner strategies
  • Participate in channel marketing activities
  • Mentor new partner technical managers
  • Conduct sales training presentations
  • Assist with driving pipeline and closing business
  • Define and deploy business plans
  • Maintain knowledge of Pure’s competitive positioning
  • Oversee relationship building activities
  • Act as a trusted advisor and advocate to partners
  • Mentor and assist partners with evaluations and benchmarks
  • Demonstrate technical expertise on storage products and solutions
  • Manage and create technical enablement plans
  • Coordinate partner training activities
  • Provide ad-hoc support for evaluations and post-sales issues
  • Present at marketing activities
  • Collaborate with Pure teams

Requirements

  • 8-10 years experience supporting enterprise storage sales/channels
  • Proven cross-functional experience and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Thorough understanding of multi-tiered computing solutions
  • Ability to present in front of large audiences
  • Excellent knowledge of storage architectures
  • Familiarity with web architecture
  • Familiarity with AI, ML, Big Data, and IOT
  • Experience with VMWARE, WINDOWS, LINUX, UNIX, NFS, SMB
  • Existing relationships with key partners
  • Knowledge of Hypervisor Technologies
