Pure Storage is seeking a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to join their Global Strategics - Financials team. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of customer business drivers, connect technology solutions to measurable outcomes, and partner with account managers to drive revenue growth. You will lead technical responsibilities, delight customers, and bring to light the advantages of Pure Storage solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop an exhaustive understanding of customer business drivers
• Connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes
• Partner with account managers to drive revenue growth
• Bring to light the advantages of a Pure Storage solution
• Refine sales strategy and tactics
• Lead evaluations, benchmarks and system configurations
• Build and deliver technical presentations
• Capture requirements and translate business needs into solutions
• Author responses to RFI & RFPs
• Seek out and spur new opportunities for testing/validation
• Promote roadmap and planning exchanges
• Liaise with product and technical marketing to produce materials
• Stay current with the competition
• Move with market trends and competitive landscape
• Lead by example

Requirements

• Pre-sales experience required
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server solutions
• Prior experience targeting new prospects
• Superior knowledge of storage architectures
• Linux, NFS file systems and Linux distributed network environment
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP
• Knowledge of VMware, networking
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
• BS in CS, EE or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with modern web architecture
• Curiosity and passion around technology
