Pure Storage is seeking a talented Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in understanding customer challenges and tailoring Pure Storage solutions to meet their specific needs, collaborating with the sales team to showcase the value of their products and services.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer's business drivers and decision-making
• Connect technology solutions to customer business outcomes
• Partner with sales teams to create a seamless customer experience
• Provide technical leadership and domain expertise
• Manage evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations
• Deliver technical presentations
• Capture requirements and translate business needs into solutions
• Seek out opportunities for interoperability and testing
• Promote roadmap and planning exchanges
• Liaise with product and technical marketing
• Stay current with competition
• Promote thought leadership
• Lead by example

Requirements

• Pre-sales experience required
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Understanding of multi-tiered client/server solutions
• Familiarity with modern web architecture
• Experience targeting new prospects
• Ability to contribute to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
• Knowledge of storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)
• Experience with Linux, NFS file systems
• Knowledge of digital transformation and Cloud Native architecture
• Knowledge of VMware, networking
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, and microservices
• Passion for technology
• Familiarity with storage-intensive applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
