Job Description

Pure Storage is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Account Executive to join their sales team, focusing on State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers in New Jersey. The role involves driving sales of data storage solutions, acquiring new customers, and expanding existing relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Evangelize data storage technology and solutions
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the SLED customer base
  • Develop value proposition strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Build and invest in customer relationships
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans
  • Drive and manage a healthy sales pipeline
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in SLED sales
  • In-depth knowledge of the SLED procurement process
  • Knowledge of working with Federal system integrators
  • Ability to sell storage solutions and articulate value propositions
  • Authenticity and customer engagement skills
  • Thought leadership and a Challenger Mindset
  • Prospecting skills and ability to navigate between boardroom and data center
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to assess and manage a territory
  • Experience leading complex sales processes
  • Experience outside of traditional storage for 5+ years
  • Consistent track record of exceeding quota
  • Passionate about customer success
  • Skilled in using CRM tools
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition
