Pure Storage is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design Engineer to join their Datastore team. The role involves leading hardware designs from concept to production, driving interoperability, conducting failure analysis, and enhancing design/validation processes for high-performance storage solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design from concept to production
• Drive interoperability testing
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues
• Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations
• Evaluate system-level trade-offs
• Improve SSD design and validation processes with automation and AI

Requirements

• Extensive hardware design and development experience
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection
• Proven hardware validation experience
• Strong knowledge of PCIe, DDR, NAND, SPI, and I2C
• Experience with high-speed oscilloscopes and differential probes
• Background in scripting languages like Python and BASH
