Portworx is seeking a Kubernetes expert to serve as a technical architect, providing pre-sales expertise to customers deploying containerized applications. The role focuses on unlocking the potential of Kubernetes and automating data management workflows, requiring a customer-facing leader with a strong technical background and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales deep technical and business expertise
• Help customers run stateful applications in containers
• Automate Day 2 data management workflows
• Coach and drive desired behavior through influence
• Present thought leadership and challenge the status quo
• Distill complex problems into simplified visions

Requirements

• 5+ years customer-facing technical architect experience
• 5+ years Linux Administration/Development experience
• 3+ years Kubernetes Administration experience
• KCNA or higher certification
• Fluency in OpenShift, Rancher, or other Kubernetes orchestration
• Fluency in Cloud IaaS environments (VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack)
• Fluency in DevOps tools (Ansible, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD)
• Fluency in data engineering, big data, and database operations
• Understanding of data platform technologies
• Understanding of enterprise application development lifecycle
• Ability to travel up to 60%
