Job Description

Pure Storage is seeking a Senior Security Operations Manager to lead and evolve their Security Operations function for Attack Surface Management. This role focuses on integrating discovery, detection, secrets monitoring, and posture governance to provide a real-time, risk-prioritized view of internal and external exposures and reduce them measurably.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ASM function
• Build and lead a team of engineers and analysts
• Operate and tune the ASM stack
• Integrate ASM data into Splunk and SOAR
• Partner with CIDR to enrich IR playbooks
• Prioritize vulnerability remediation
• Support remediation via SOAR
• Lead secret detection and hygiene enforcement
• Maintain posture across SaaS apps
• Monitor and enforce Zero Trust access controls
• Own asset lifecycle governance
• Develop KPIs for posture reduction
• Create dashboards and executive reporting
• Participate in control health checks and tabletop scenarios
• Influence product, infrastructure, and risk management

Requirements

• 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in technical leadership
• Experience leading high-performing teams
• Deep expertise operating a security stack (EDR, Vulnerability Management, Asset Discovery, SSPM, SIEM, SOAR, Zero Trust/DLP/CASB)
• Hands-on experience remediating risks across Linux, Windows, macOS, and cloud platforms
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Top 18, NIST 800-53
• Experience driving accountability across various teams
• Bias for action and comfort with ambiguity
• Excellent communication skills
