Pure Storage is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to join their federal DoD team. This role involves understanding customer challenges and tailoring Pure Storage solutions to meet their needs, acting as a technical expert during the sales process, and showcasing the value of their products and services.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer’s business drivers
• Connect technology solutions to customer outcomes
• Partner with sales team to create customer experience
• Provide technical leadership on storage products
• Manage evaluations, benchmarks, and configurations
• Deliver technical presentations
• Capture requirements and translate to solutions
• Seek new opportunities for testing
• Liaise with product and marketing teams

Requirements

• Pre-sales experience required
• 5+ years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications
• Understanding of multi-tiered computing solutions
• Familiarity with web architecture
• Experience targeting new prospects
• Experience with RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
• Knowledge of storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)
• Experience with Linux, NFS, and Linux distributed network environment
• Knowledge of VMware, networking, and cloud technologies
• Curiosity and passion around technology
• Familiarity with storage-intensive applications
