Job Description

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Director of Sales to lead and coach a team of Account Managers, drive business growth, and cultivate strong client relationships. The role involves developing and executing business plans, recruiting and developing a sales team, and uncovering new areas of growth. A secondary focus is building a team of consultants through recruitment, coaching, and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Creating new business opportunities
  • Managing existing account relationships
  • Optimizing business profitability
  • Closing deals on service-based contracts
  • Determining proposal and pricing strategy
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and matching candidates
  • Driving commercial relationships with partners
  • Building close customer relationships
  • Managing and developing consultants
  • Coaching team members
  • Tracking leads and sales performance data
  • Traveling to customer sites
  • Making strategic decisions independently

Requirements

  • MSc or BSc degree in engineering or business
  • 8-10 years of Business Development, Account Management, or Sales experience
  • 2-4 years of Sales Leadership experience
  • Experience within engineering or consulting services preferred
  • Experience building business internationally preferred
  • Established network of engineering contacts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
