Job Description

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Hardware Interface Engineer responsible for creating and maintaining hardware interface requirements between ECUs, sensors, and actuators, supporting technical reviews with hardware suppliers, and driving hardware interface consolidation and harmonization.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain HWI documents for ECUs and direct-wired sensors/actuators
• Define electrical interface characteristics and requirements
• Collect and analyze interface requirements, proposing harmonization
• Support technical and design reviews with suppliers
• Work with component owners and suppliers for HWI implementation
• Specify hardware interfaces for architecture components
• Analyze hardware interface issues and propose solutions
• Stay abreast of hardware interface technologies
• Promote knowledge sharing and technical capability growth
• Drive early life cycle delivery through an agile approach
• Develop a culture of collaboration, diversity, and inclusion

Requirements

• BSEE or MSEE degree from an ABET accredited university
• 3+ years of experience in automotive electrical systems/hardware
• 1+ years of analog/digital electronic circuit hardware development experience
• 1+ years of experience with ECU hardware designs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proficient use of MS Office
