Job Description

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior HIL Validation Engineer to conduct system and vehicle level design verification and production validation tests. The role involves developing and executing HIL activities, optimizing systems, and ensuring traceability from DFMEA to DVP&R to final reports.

Responsibilities

• Own HIL development activities
• Scope facility and equipment needs
• Lead test automation strategy and script development
• Optimize systems, tools, and processes
• Design and build test benches
• Meet diagnostic coverage requirements
• Run testing and report results
• Troubleshoot systems using lab equipment
• Coordinate system level testing
• Report programmatic metrics and risk assessments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 5+ years of engineering experience
• Experience in automotive/heavy-duty vehicle systems
• Expertise in control systems and communication protocols
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
• Knowledge of programming languages and vehicle serial data protocols
• Experience with low and high voltage automotive environments
• Strong troubleshooting and validation experience
• Knowledge of industry standards (FMVSS, NHTSA, DOT, NFPA, SAE, and NEC)
