ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Database Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable and secure data stores. The role involves collaborating with application and data teams to optimize performance, automate operations using AWS, and improve reliability while reducing costs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient and scalable database solutions
• Install, configure, and upgrade database software
• Monitor database performance and optimize efficiency
• Implement and maintain database security measures
• Collaborate with application developers to optimize schema and queries
• Troubleshoot database issues
• Develop and maintain database documentation
• Perform database capacity planning
• Stay up to date with database technologies
• Manage AWS database infrastructure

Requirements

• Strong understanding of AWS and IaC
• 5+ Years of experience as a Database Engineer or Administrator
• Strong knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redshift)
• Proficiency in SQL and query optimization
• Familiarity with database design principles
• Experience in database performance tuning
• Understanding of backup and recovery procedures
• Knowledge of database security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
