Job Description

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Durability CAE Engineer to lead durability assessments for various vehicle subsystems, involving CAE analysis, testing, and collaboration with design teams to drive design changes and ensure parts meet durability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform strength, stiffness, and fatigue analysis
• Perform correlation between test and CAE
• Maintain documentation for durability analysis and test work
• Create FEM mesh from CAD or sketches
• Support design engineers with durability requirements
• Learn and use CAE software tools
• Test and benchmark new analysis tools

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in vehicle level CAE analysis, testing, and development
• Experience with linear, non-linear, fatigue, and dynamic analysis
• Knowledge of structures and mechanics of materials
• Proficiency in ANSA, HyperMesh, HyperView, MetaPost, nCode, OptiStruct
• Knowledge of vehicle performance requirements
