Job Description

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an electronic controller unit (ECU) validation engineer to test delivered controllers. The role involves validating component and sub-system requirements on incoming firmware and hardware ECU revisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring requirements are met for robot production maturity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute firmware and hardware integration test plans
• Verify bootloader, power management, and network communication
• Troubleshoot electrical issues
• Provide feedback to Vehicle System Engineers
• Examine log data and source code
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and firmware teams
• Conduct system bring-up and integration tests
• Develop early prototypes and test benches

Requirements

• BS or higher in related engineering field
• 3-5 years of experience in controller validation or integration
• Experience debugging electrical and software systems
• Experience diagnosing CAN, LIN, or Ethernet network issues
• Experience in MATLAB, Python, C++ or equivalent tools
• Strong communication skills
