Job Description

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Hardware & Wireless Validation Engineer to develop, document, and execute validation tests for hardware and network-connected devices, focusing on wireless interfaces like 4G-LTE, 5G-NR, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The role involves collaboration with design engineers and partners to ensure systems meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional, performance, environmental, and reliability testing
• Select, procure, and configure test equipment and software
• Develop custom test assets using Python and TTCN
• Develop and execute test cases for wireless and fixed networks
• Draft documentation including test plans and data reviews
• Perform or commission conformance testing for regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in electronics development
• Hands-on experience with wireless test platforms (Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz)
• Expertise in Ethernet standards, IP network protocols, and 3GPP 4G-LTE / 5G-NR
• Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analyzers)
• Experience with regulatory conformance testing and network diagnostics
