Job Description

Flow Traders is seeking an experienced Linux Engineer to design, deploy, and operate a stable, cost-efficient, and high-performing Trading Systems Infrastructure. The role involves monitoring business needs, securing resources, and implementing solutions, with a focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Manage, upgrade, and optimize Linux infrastructures using automation and IaC
• Oversee monitoring of global infrastructure and optimize adaptive principles
• Serve as escalation point for Linux incidents and participate in on-call rotations
• Provide regional leadership and collaborate on architectural decisions
• Utilize AI tools for system monitoring and automated interventions

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science preferred
• 7+ years of experience in a complex Linux environment
• Expertise in Linux operating systems and troubleshooting
• Extensive Kubernetes experience
• Configuration management skills (Ansible, Puppet)
• Experience with VMware technologies and monitoring tools
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with routing protocols (BGP) and FPGA technology
• Experience with Git and data streaming platforms (Kafka)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
