Job Description

Perpay is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a Product Engineering team. The role involves mentoring engineers, delivering projects, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a bias towards action.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of 4-6 Engineers
• Contribute technically through writing tech specs and shipping code
• Develop technical requirements with the Product team
• Solve problems across interconnected systems
• Make data-driven decisions to improve user experience and developer quality
• Improve software building, testing, and delivery processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement new credit products

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building applications at scale
• 2+ years of experience managing and supporting engineers
• Experience with consumer-facing products
• Strong technical background in software engineering and architecture
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
• Proficiency in backend frameworks like Django or Flask
• Experience with frontend technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
