Job Description

Heartflow is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join their world-class Research team and develop state-of-the-art automated machine learning technologies for their cardiac test products. The role involves leading the development and evaluation of machine learning and medical image analysis algorithms, working with cross-functional teams, and publishing research.

Responsibilities

• Solve machine learning challenges with volumetric images
• Implement and advance research in computer vision/machine learning
• Lead research, design, development, and testing of ML algorithms
• Collaborate with Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, Product, and Program Management
• Educate teams on ML and Image Analysis
• Publish research and stay updated on trends

Requirements

• PhD in computer science, engineering, math, or similar
• 4+ years experience in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Analysis, or Deep Learning
• Independent project research and solution design ability
• Clear communication skills
• Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and medical image analysis
• Experience with large-scale applications
• Proficiency in Python with PyTorch, and preferably C++
