Job Description

Heartflow is seeking an experienced Staff DevOps Engineer specializing in Developer Experience to design, build, and optimize tools and infrastructure for their engineering organization. The role focuses on removing friction from the development lifecycle, improving developer productivity, and driving the adoption of best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define technical vision and roadmap for developer platform
• Architect and implement scalable platform services and tools
• Partner with engineering teams to drive platform adoption
• Establish technical standards and governance models
• Mentor engineers and foster operational excellence
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in development and deployment

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software or platform engineering with 2+ years in a leadership role
• Deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Strong proficiency in AWS and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Terragrunt)
• Advanced programming skills (Go, Python, or TypeScript)
• Experience building internal developer portals or self-service tools
• Prior experience focused on Developer Experience (DevEx)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
