Job Description

The Senior Director of Environment, Health, and Safety will lead and improve EHS programs for CFS, focusing on the safe design, build, and operation of the SPARC tokamak and facility. This role champions a strong safety culture and collaborates across departments to implement a proactive approach to safety, ensuring regulatory compliance and leading a team of EHS professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS-related discipline or engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • 15+ years’ progressive experience in health and safety
  • Experience leading EHS functions for national/global operations
  • Safety certification (CSP, CSM, CSHM, or CIH)
  • Proven track record of implementing EHS programs
  • Familiarity with chemical safety and waste management
  • Experience with high-voltage, high-current, pressurized systems
  • Strong project management and communication skills
