Job Description

This contract position is responsible for machining or modifying parts using various machine shop tooling, including CNC machining centers, waterjet, and grinders. The role requires programming, setup, operation, inspection, and maintenance of equipment, as well as adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Safely program, set-up, and operate CNC equipment
• Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously
• Read and adhere to verbal and written processes
• Inspect product using various inspection equipment
• Inspect, change, and make offsets to cutting tooling
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace using 5S
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment
• Interact professionally with coworkers

Requirements

• Formal trades or apprenticeship programs
• Trade school certification or degree
• 5 years of CNC machine trade experience
• Good computer skills
• Experience programming with CAD
• Basic knowledge of G-code
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to manage sensitive information
• Great communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Dedication to safety
• Ability to perform tasks for extended periods
