Job Description

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Production Technician to perform and monitor manufacturing processes for superconducting magnets. This role involves building electromechanical parts, troubleshooting discrepancies, and ensuring equipment operation, contributing to the development of commercially viable fusion power plants.

Responsibilities

• Build electromechanical parts and assemblies
• Develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques
• Perform production builds according to procedures
• Troubleshoot manufacturing discrepancies
• Use mechanical and precision tools
• Interpret assembly drawings and work instructions
• Communicate challenges and ideas
• Operate production and testing equipment
• Identify product problems and recommend improvements

Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalency certificate
• 6+ years experience with hand tools
• 6+ years experience in Mechanical or Electrical Assembly
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Dedication to safety
• Ability to work independently
