Job Description

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Contract Electrical Technician to support the receipt, installation, configuration, testing, validation, and commissioning of power electronics-based converter systems and DC battery storage systems. The role involves hands-on work with both low and medium voltage systems, collaboration with engineering teams, and contributing to the development of new test platforms.

Responsibilities

• Electrical sub-system and system level testing and validation
• Understanding electrical schematics and drawings
• Installation, configuration, and commissioning of systems
• Procurring tools and fixtures for tests
• Attending design reviews and providing feedback
• Assisting in root cause analysis of field failures
• Working with Low and Medium Voltage systems
• Collaborating with engineering teams

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in electrical technology or related field
• 5+ years of Electrical Experience
• Experience with Low Voltage AC & DC systems
• QEW training in Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems
• Experience with control hardware and programmable logic controllers
• NEC / NFPA 70E, Electrical Safety knowledge
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to travel or work nights/weekends
