Job Description

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Subassemblies Technician to deliver precision, ultra high vacuum subassemblies for the SPARC Tokamak. The role involves building, testing, and aligning complex components, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting other teams with skilled work. This is a contract position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of fusion energy.

Responsibilities

• Build complex and simple subassemblies and components
• Perform testing and check-outs with helium leak checking
• Assist with precision alignment and installation of optical systems
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and clean room
• Assist other CFS teams with related skilled work

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• 7 years in a highly technical assembly role
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Experience completing large scale projects
• Experience using measurement tools
• Experience using JIRA or similar software
• Highly self-motivated and organized
