Forter is seeking a seasoned retail leader to serve as their Chief Merchant, acting as the voice of the merchant and building a thriving customer community. This role focuses on leveraging merchant expertise to drive growth through advocacy, referrals, and strategic relationships, and does not require prior SaaS experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Forter’s chief ambassador and thought leader
• Influence and educate the market
• Cultivate C-suite relationships
• Build a thriving customer community
• Drive referral and reference engine
• Lead the Customer Advocacy & Engagement Team
• Partner to accelerate growth
• Champion the merchant perspective internally

Requirements

• 15+ years of senior leadership experience in apparel, accessories, beauty, or retail
• Digital, e-commerce, or product leadership experience
• Active engagement in commerce and retail industry communities
• Executive presence and public speaking skills
• Commercially-minded with ability to translate relationships into business outcomes
• Proven ability to operate strategically and cross-functionally
• Passion for mentoring and leading teams
