Job Description

Forter is seeking a Principal Payments Consultant to join their Global Solutions Consulting Team. This role focuses on translating payments expertise into commercial strategy, guiding the Payments Optimization business, and serving as a payments expert for both new and existing clients. The consultant will optimize solutions and drive tangible business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary subject-matter expert for Forter’s payments solutions
• Guide the full lifecycle of payments opportunities
• Partner with GTM teams to ensure understanding of payments capabilities
• Act as key connector between Sales, Product, Marketing, and Engineering
• Synthesize insights to inform product strategy
• Represent Forter as a payments thought leader

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the payments industry
• Deep understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem
• Mastery of card vaulting, authorization optimization, 3DS authentication, processor routing, and network tokenization
• Merchant-side experience preferred
• Executive-level communication and consultative selling skills
• Proven success in a GTM leadership or customer-facing role
