Job Description

Turquoise Health is seeking a driven Senior Software Engineer to join their team and help simplify healthcare pricing. This fully remote role involves building core pricing systems, working independently on complex assignments, and collaborating across teams in a fast-growing startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable applications using Python, Django, and modern frontend web technologies
• Work autonomously on complex assignments
• Execute and adapt processes to achieve technical objectives
• Write effective, scalable, testable code
• Work with large datasets and AI/ML systems
• Facilitate technical conversations and communicate status
• Support and guide teammates
• Iterate quickly with a focus on value

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in Python or another programming language with Python exposure
• Expertise in a Python web framework (preferably Django)
• Strong understanding of SQL and databases
• Solid experience with JavaScript and modern JS frameworks (Vue or React)
• Experience with APIs, data pipelines, and system architectures
• Ability to work independently on complex problems
• Strong communication skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
