Runway is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Backend team to build AI-powered video creation and collaboration tools. The role involves owning the full API lifecycle, implementing security measures, and improving code quality in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering team on creativity and content creation
• Own the full API lifecycle
• Implement API security, rate limiting, authentication, and monitoring
• Improve performance, reliability, and code quality

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience in backend software engineering
• Fluency in one or more programming languages; TypeScript preferred
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with cloud primitives from AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Ability to rapidly prototype solutions
• Humility and open mindedness
