Runway is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to lead litigation and dispute resolution, and support various legal domains within a rapidly growing AI research and technology company. The role involves advising leadership, potentially representing the company externally, and navigating the evolving legal landscape of generative AI.

Responsibilities

• Oversee litigation and regulatory requests
• Advise on generative AI regulatory landscape
• Develop and execute IP enforcement strategy
• Understand the technical aspects of the product
• Manage outside counsel
• Support legal domains like employment, privacy, and commercial

Requirements

• J.D. and state bar admission
• Strong business acumen
• 7+ years of experience, including 4+ in litigation
• Experience with cutting-edge technologies preferred
• Capacity for strategic thinking and ownership
• Knowledge of legal issues in the industry
• Excitement about generative AI
