Runway is seeking a Senior Applied Research Scientist to lead efforts in pretraining the next generation of their multimodal models. The role focuses on building impactful machine learning projects with strong software engineering skills, and a passion for applying research to creative user interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts in pretraining multimodal models
• Build impactful and novel machine learning projects
• Develop research code
• Build human-in-the-loop systems for creativity
• Mentor and teach other researchers
• Communicate, collaborate, and document effectively

Requirements

• 4+ years of ML engineering or research experience
• Strong programming skills
• Deep interest in human-in-the-loop systems
• Passion for applying research
• Experience mentoring researchers
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
