Job Description

PitchBook is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team. This role focuses on building and maintaining the foundational infrastructure, tools, and workflows to enable seamless software development and delivery. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developer enablement, automation, and cloud platforms, contributing to the design, build, and enhancement of internal platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to platform engineering strategies and best practices
• Integrate product and engineering with operations through collaboration and automation
• Optimize and accelerate the SDLC while maintaining quality and security
• Assist development teams in managing infrastructure
• Contribute to the developer experience by improving CI/CD pipelines and tools
• Apply knowledge of managed services, libraries, and frameworks
• Follow Agile and Lean principles

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years in Software Development or Engineering
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and networking
• Understanding of DevOps, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines
• Foundational understanding of programming best practices
• Experience with cloud-based solutions and infrastructure management
• Good communication skills
• Experience with GCP or AWS
