PitchBook is seeking a seasoned technology leader to serve as Vice President of Engineering, overseeing Product Development. This role involves leading a global team of over 200 engineers, shaping the engineering vision, strengthening platform architecture, and building a world-class team and culture. The ideal candidate will thrive at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and drive execution
• Lead architectural modernization initiatives
• Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies
• Lead, mentor, and grow a global engineering team
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture
• Maintain software quality and delivery speed
• Drive adoption of best practices (CI/CD, automated testing)
• Partner with Product Management and Design
• Ensure technology investments align with company goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 15+ years of experience in software engineering
• 7+ years leading large, distributed engineering organizations
• Proven track record of scaling SaaS or data/analytics platforms
• Deep technical expertise in modern software development
• Success leading organizational transformation
• Experience building high-trust, high-performance teams
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
• Experience in financial data, analytics, or capital markets technology preferred
• Analytical and strategic thinker
