Job Description

Brooks is seeking a Senior Footwear Designer to create and innovate aesthetic designs for their inline footwear products. This role involves leading the implementation of color, materials, and trends, utilizing 3D tools, and collaborating with various teams to ensure design intent and brand direction. The ideal candidate will have a strong design point of view and extensive experience in footwear design.

Responsibilities

• Design footwear uppers, midsoles, and outsoles
• Create identity principles to maximize perceived value
• Elevate the creative foundation of CRAFTED BEAUTY
• Explore future of 2D and 3D design
• Influence Color & Trend Team
• Drive pre-season product development
• Deliver product design presentations
• Provide feedback to Associate Designers
• Collaborate with Advanced Design and 3D CAD teams
• Maintain timelines and deadlines
• Shape templates for CRAFTED BEAUTY and SEASONAL BEAUTY

Requirements

• 4-year degree in design or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in retail/manufacturing
• 2D and 3D CAD experience (Rhino, Blender, Adobe Suite, Solidworks)
• Thorough knowledge of art and design
• Proven experience leading execution of vision and strategy
• Ability to understand design conceptually
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Mastery of Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
• Proficiency with Apple Mac and MS Office Suite
• Travel 10%
