Job Description

The U.S. Trade Operations Specialist will facilitate US import and export trade for Brooks, ensuring compliance with US trade laws and regulations. Responsibilities include auditing import entries, managing recordkeeping, supporting FTZ operations, preparing reports, and staying current with trade regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage US import entries and audit for compliance
  • Manage and audit recordkeeping of US import and export shipments
  • Manage pre-import audit process
  • Support FTZ operations
  • Prepare and submit month end reporting to Finance
  • Prepare import/export documentation
  • Process and submit ISF filings
  • Monitor and troubleshoot customs clearance delays
  • Support CTPAT compliance
  • Collaborate with Transportation team and Customs Broker
  • Support maintenance of US customs compliance SOPs
  • Analyze customs data and report KPIs
  • Collaborate with Trade Compliance team on process improvements
  • Attend seminars and review trade publications

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in logistics and/or trade compliance
  • Knowledge of U.S. import, export, and/or FTZ regulations
  • Commitment to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/trade compliance tools
