Job Description

Peerspace is seeking a Principal Mobile Engineer to lead the technical vision and architecture for their React Native mobile platform (iOS and Android). This is a hands-on leadership role focused on performance, stability, developer experience, and mentoring senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Improve mobile performance and stability
• Ensure feature parity across platforms
• Optimize developer experience
• Mentor senior engineers
• Drive innovation and evaluate new technologies

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with mobile focus
• Expert-level React Native and Expo knowledge
• Deep understanding of iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java)
• Experience in mobile performance optimization
• Mastery of mobile architecture and state management
• Solid understanding of functional programming
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Familiarity with mobile observability and crash reporting
