Job Description

Muon Space is seeking a self-motivated Harness Designer to join their electrical engineering team. The role involves specifying connectors, crimps, wire types, and harness build instructions, working collaboratively with mechanical counterparts and the AIT team to improve designs for spacecraft integration and testing. The designer will work on multiple missions and projects, partnering with engineers, designers, and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Create harness drawings and BOMs
• Specify connector and crimp part numbers
• Gather feedback from AIT, EE, and Mechanical teams
• Ensure compliance with signal integrity, grounding, and shielding requirements
• Release documentation into PLM
• Define electrical test criteria
• Answer vendor questions
• Assist technicians with harness builds

Requirements

• Attention to detail and strong reading comprehension
• Familiarity with harness drawing software
• Familiarity with PLM systems
• Ability to build harnesses
• Excitement to work in a fast-paced environment
