Job Description

Muon Space is seeking a Software Test Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain software test infrastructure for satellite development in San Jose, CA. This role involves testing hardware components and software, contributing to tooling ecosystems, and collaborating with various engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software test frameworks
• Create and automate tests for avionics and electronic hardware
• Collaborate with engineers to define test requirements and troubleshoot issues
• Integrate test infrastructure with CI/CD systems
• Develop tools to improve test efficiency and reliability
• Analyze test data and resolve hardware/software issues
• Maintain documentation for test infrastructure
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• 3+ years of software development experience with a focus on test automation
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience testing embedded systems or hardware components
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testbeds
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong accountability and organizational skills
