Job Description

Muon Space is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Manager of Finance & FP&A to lead company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management. This role will partner with leaders across various departments to ensure disciplined capital allocation and data-driven decision-making in a rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities

• Own Annual Operating Plan, Long-Range Plan, and rolling forecasts
• Provide insights on performance, unit economics, and capital trade-offs
• Support strategic decisions through financial modeling
• Lead variance analysis
• Own Program Gross Margin reports and budget tracking
• Build and refine program cost models
• Enhance forecasting accuracy
• Own Department Budget vs. Actuals analysis
• Partner with Engineering and Program Management
• Deliver executive-ready dashboards
• Support customer, investor, and government reporting
• Build scalable FP&A processes and tools
• Drive adoption of ERP and BI tools
• Foster a culture of precision and transparency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 8–12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking
• 3+ years in a managerial role
• Proven track record in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing
• Advanced financial modeling and presentation skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities
